HRB CRF – University College Cork at Cork University Hospital, Mercy University Hospital & University Hospital Waterford

The HRB Clinical Research Facility University College Cork (HRB CRF-UCC) was established in 2011 to promote excellence in the design, safe-conduct, analysis and reporting of patient-focused research. The facility provides the dedicated infrastructure, experienced research and support staff and the necessary quality and oversight programs that are critical from the successful conduct of world class patient-focused research.

HRB CRF-UCC is funded by the Health Research Board and University College Cork and is operated jointly with the University and its affiliated medical centres, which cover the south and south-western regions of the Republic of Ireland with a population of over 1 million.

It supports a wide range of Academic and commercially funded research, including both interventional trials and observation studies, across pharmaceutical, neuticeutical, medical device and care pathway themes.

It can provide access to local clinical researchers and networks, clinical research facilities and staff as well as other supports such as biostatistical and methological support, data management, quality management, study monitoring.
