Irish Research Radiation Oncology Group Inaugural Conference – 20th January 2023
10 January 2023
The Irish Research Radiation Oncology Group (IRROG), a HRB partnership supporting cancer clinical trials to improve health and care, is delighted to invite you to their inaugural conference on Friday 20th January 2023 in Trinity College, Dublin.
The conference includes national and international speakers, keynote addresses, sessions on IRROG’s first year, radiotherapy clinical trials, a national research stakeholders forum with key clinical decision leaders, a dedicated PPI session, career development and mentorship.
IRROG was established in January 2022 via a successful application by Prof.Sinead Brennan, IRROG Clinical Lead to the Health Research Board Cancer Trials Group Scheme for 2022-2026. IRROG unites all public radiotherapy departments and private collaborators conducting radiotherapy trials in Ireland, representing all radiotherapy clinical trials research personnel nationally.
IRROG’s main aim is to improve the national radiotherapy research infrastructure by funding key personnel at clinical sites, significantly improve national collaboration to streamline research processes and most importantly, increase access to radiotherapy clinical trials. This is crucial given 50% of all cancer patients will require radiotherapy at some point in their cancer journey and clinical trials are linked to improving patient outcomes and survival.
They aim to produce high quality Irish initiated studies whilst improving our international collaborative research portfolio for the patients of Ireland.
To reserve your place please BOOK HERE NOW . Thanks to the generous support of their sponsors, delegates can attend the conference FREE of charge. Please don’t delay and register today.
They look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be an engaging and informative event, held with support of a HRB Conference & Event Scheme Grant and sponsors, providing opportunities to connect with the key decision makers in radiotherapy clinical trials across Ireland.
